Question: We have many databases that are already built, and are being used. Is there function in the product to populate the table names and field names automatically?

Answer: Yes! EZ Data Dictionary® can do this for databases build in Microsoft SQL Server®, Oracle®, UDB® for windows (by IBM®), and Microsoft Access®. The Administration function will automatically populate information about table names, column (attribute) names, column (attribute) types (numeric, character, etc.), column (attribute) sizes, etc. Even with only this basic information, users will find EZ Data Dictionary to be useful, because it allows viewing of the data structures and easy browsing of the data. The primary user task is to populate the attribute definitions, which will greatly enhance the understanding and resultant value of your databases. If the definitions are available from a data source like Microsoft Excel® or Microsoft Access® they can be automatically loaded into the EZ Data Dictionary®.
